Meet Ms. Schroeder
Hi, I'm Katie Schroeder! This will be my seventh year teaching third grade at Dilworth Elementary. I LOVE my third graders, my team, and our school. I was honored to be named New Teacher of the Year four years ago. I grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana and always knew I wanted to work with kids. I attended Indiana University and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education, with an addition in English as a New Language. My boyfriend and I moved to Charlotte after graduation, and I was lucky enough to score a job that I can ride my bike to! I love teaching math, and my favorite unit is our Countries Around the World unit. When I'm not at school, I enjoy baking, hiking, and listening to audio books. While I miss my family in Indy and Chicago, I love exploring North Carolina. I cannot wait for another great year in third grade with your child!
